The details that stop people travelling
A twice-daily tablet, an insulin shot, a senior dog on a prescription diet, a cat who cannot have what the other cat is having. These are the reasons people either do not go away or come home to a mess. None of them is unusual and none of them is a problem. It goes in the notes: the drug, the dose, the timing, where it is kept, how the animal takes it, and what to do if it is refused. Then it happens the same way every visit, by whoever is doing that visit. If your animal is on something where a missed dose actually matters, say so plainly when you book and we will tell you honestly whether the visit schedule you have in mind is enough to cover it.
What to write down before you go
Drug name, dose, times, where it lives, and the trick that makes your animal take it: the cheese, the pill pocket, the particular way of holding the head. Feeding goes down the same way: which food, how much, which bowl, and what happens if it goes untouched. Your vet's number sits with it.
